Our Visits Secretary enjoys her first visit since they were all cancelled last year because of Covid. This visit, as all the others this summer, was by private car. Given the regulations and guidelines around larger groups in enclosed spaces we decided that visits by coach were not Covid safe....

It was with great sadness that we learnt of Ian's death on 29th April. Ian was an active, enthusiastic and committed member of Reading Gardeners. Generous with his time, a stalwart of the Christmas social with his passion for a good sing along, and memorable for his willingness to give an always thoughtful vote of thanks.  He was invaluable first as Secretary, then as Chair and finally as Chair of Trustees. Ever welcoming he was thorough, well-prepared, and generous with his knowledge and experience. We shall miss him. Our thoughts are with Barbara and his family at this sad and difficult time....
