It’s early in the year but we hope to see swathes of hellebores and spring flowers at this lovely garden. The eight acres have been tended by generations of the Rasch family, each leaving their mark, the latest a collection of magnolias. Criss crossed with sparkling tributaries of the river Avon, a trout filled stream crosses under the authentic Japanese tea house and below the red Nikko bridge to meander through the woodland garden. There is a kiosk for those wishing for refreshments, not included in the price.
In the afternoon we shall visit Lyn Miles’s garden. She’s renowned for her snowdrops but is also a stalwart member of HPS Pulmonaria group and has many varieties of these and other spring flowers in her garden. She promises a scrummy tea which can be inside if the weather is poor.
