Richard Bisgrove will be speaking to us this evening. His long and distinguished career in landscape management and horticultural education has gained him an international reputation and numerous awards. He will be speaking to us about William Robinson (1838-1935) whose ideas about wild gardening spurred the movement that led to the popularising of the English Cottage Garden style and were important in the development of the Woodland Garden. If you heard the talk about Gertrude Jekyll last winter, this will be a very interesting counterbalance.
Meeting at Caversham Heights Methodist Church Hall 74 Highmoor Rd, Caversham, RG4 7BG starting at 7.45 pm with refreshments from 7.15 pm.
