Alan Power was inspired from an early age to follow a career in the horticultural world. During the past 30 years he has worked in – and managed – some of the most beautiful gardens in Britain: Mount Stewart, Stourhead, Hidcote and Derreen. Now he works for the National Trust as Gardens
Consultant across the South West, helping to care for the gardens that so many people visit, and ensuring that beautiful places can continue to be admired and enjoyed. He will take us along as he recalls his life in horticulture – and perhaps more importantly, his love of trees.
